The sales clerk of JAMB in Bauchi - Philomena Chieshe has been suspended from office by her employer - Joint Admission And Matriculation Board. JAMB said it has suspended the employee following her claims about the missing N36 million cash which she said was swallowed by a snake "spiritually". The head of information - Fabian Benjamin - said Philomena has been suspended and is going through all other discipline procedures while investigation is going on the matter. Meanwhile,it was learnt that the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) had begun investigation into the matter following a recommendation by the Federal Executive Council late last year that JAMB should he investigated.

A man identified as Chukwu Hillary,38- year - old was said to have allegedly assaulted a lady identified as Glory Sunday. It was gathered that the victim was beaten up,bitten, and striped naked. Her clothes were torn from her body by Hillary and she was left with just her pant; before she could run inside for cover,her nakedness was already seen by onlookers who were present at the scene that moment. The incident happened at Moshalashi Street in the area of Mushin, Lagos. Though the cause of the assault was not disclosed,but it was gathered that the victim and Hillary were engaged in a very strong disagreement over an undisclosed matter which thereby led to Hillary disgracing the victim. However,the matter was reported to the police at Olusan Division and Hillary was arrested and detained at the police station. The Army Chief of Training and Operations,Major - General David Ahmadu has announced on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai - a 44-day operation in Benue,Taraba and Nasarawa state. He announced that the 44-day operation would be commencing from Feb 15 - March 31 following the several attacks of the Fulani herdsmen. The 44-day operation has been tagged 'Exercise Ayem Akpatuma', a Tiv language that means "Cat Race". He said that the exercise would involve Cordon - and - Search operations,roadblocks,raids,show of force and checkpoints. The 'Exercise Ayem Akpatuma' is announced to take a strong effect following the unnecessary continues crisis of clash and attack of herdsmen on communities particularly in Taraba,Nasarawa and Benue state. The police authorities in Oyo state has confirmed the killing of the Officer in charge of Special Anti- Robbery Squad(SARS),Saki unit in Oyo State police command. Students of Federal University of Technology has been ordered to vacant the campus before 2:00 pm on Monday 5 2018. The Senate of Modibbo Adama University of Technology Yola ordered an indefinite closure of the school following students' unrest on Sunday 4 2018. The decision was made as a result of the emergency meeting of the senate which took place on Monday after it confirmed the killing of a student of the school. Reports stated that even before the latest crises ,there had been growing tension in the institution,following a recent students' union election which brought about division of the students along religious rules thereby leading to protests which called for the school authority to take necessary actions.
