THE 'ASH - VALE' WEDNESDAY.

The Ash Wednesday has coincide with the Valentine celebration this year 2018; so you would agree that the name ASH -VALE suits the day.

The Ash Wednesday is known as a christian day for peace and the first day of Lent,which is six weeks of repentance before Easter. Though the exercise is only observed in some Orthodox churches like the Catholic and Anglican churches.
The Ash Wednesday is an act of placing of repentance ashes on the foreheads of participants. Therefore it means "Repent and believe in the Gospel" or " Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return".

Many people celebrate the Valentine's day as a day to show feelings of love,affection and Friendship. Some people take their loved ones to interesting places,while some others choose this day to propose for marriage.

However,as we repent, let us remain consistence on our repentance - not going to our vomits again and let our act of love be done to the Glory of the Creator whom Himself is LOVE.

Whichever way you choose to spend this day, always remember:

 'YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO EXIST TO REALISE YOUR WRONG TO MAKE THEM RIGHT; THAT YOU CAN BE AT PEACE AND MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR YOU AND FOR ALL'

Governor Ganduje Ask Fulani Herdsmen To Relocate To Kano; Says There Is "Vast Grazing Land In Kano".

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has urged Fulani herdsmen who are in other parts of Nigeria to relocate to Kano state. According to the governor, he said Kano state has a "vast grazing land" that would cater for needs of herdsmen and their cattle. Governor Ganduje spoke during the state exercise which was titled, 'Towards Conservation Of Livestock Resources And Animal Protein For Citizens Of Kano' the exercise was part of activities marking 2017/2018 livestock vaccination programme. He thereby condemned the "recent killings during the clashes between farmers and herdsmen" he said the killings were unacceptable. Ganduje further stated that as part of his state government's commitment to encourage herdsmen in the state, there is provision of facilities that would accommodate the herdsmen and their cattle to discourage them from moving to other states in search of grazing land.
