SCAM ALERT! 2000NGN Credit And 10GB
The rate at which various kind of online scams are spreading, are on the increase. Some of them spreads through the WhatsApp messaging application site with deceptive campaigns luring victims into giving out their information.
One of which was sent to me by one of my WhatsApp contacts; promising a 2000NGN credit and 10GB Internet free.
On clicking on the said link,you get to see something like this:
Victims continue to click until their data such as phone numbers are disclosed. It doesn't end there because victims are also requested to share with many other contacts like up to 30 contacts, so as to claim their prize. Unfortunately there isn't no prize to claim.
These are all scams because most of the victims data such as phone numbers,e-mail addresses are sold to some high bidders.
Awareness of this kind of scams should be spread fast so as to prevent further propagation.
