Zimbabwe Delivers First Billionaire.

Hurray! as Zimbabwe joins the Forbes list of richest men.
As reported by Forbes, Strive Masiyiwa of Zimbabwe has become his country's first billionaire. Masiyiwa,who is stated to being a telecom tycoon,57 years is now worth $1.7 billion. He has earned himself this fortune which is quite enough to rank him alongside some other Africa billionaire like Nigeria's Aliko Dangote.

According to Forbes latest 2018 list of richest Africans, Dangote remains the richest man on the continent with a fortune of $12.2billion; it is hereby stated that Dangote's investments in oil,fertiliser and cement has really paid off.

More about Zimbabwe's own Masiyiwa; Masiyiwa is known to be the chairman of Econet group which was founded in 1993. Econet group is amongst listed telecom companies; aside Econet involvement in telecom services, the company also has its investment in financial services,energy, education,coca cola bottling,hospitality and payment gateway solutions.

It would also be of our interest to know that Econet has a pay television establishment; Kwesé TV. Kwesé TV is also on the competitive side across Africa with the well known DSTV.

According to Forbes list,it has only shown 2 women amongst list of richest individual who goes by the name Isabel dos Santos who is worth an estimate of $2.7 billion and Nigeria's Folorunsho Alakija who is worth $1.6 billion.
